BEIJING, May 30 (Xinhua) -- Vice Premier Zhang Gaoli will deliver the keynote speech at the 2013 Fortune Global Forum (FGF) to be held in the city of Chengdu in southwest China's Sichuan Province next week, the State Council Information Office (SCIO) said Thursday.

President Xi Jinping will send a congratulatory message to the forum and Premier Li Keqiang will hold discussions with some of the forum's participants in Beijing, according to Wu Hongjian, director-general of the SCIO's international bureau.

Fortune magazine's managing editor Andy Serwer said the 2013 FGF has reached full capacity with the strongest response in the forum's history.

According to Serwer, the forum now has more than 600 confirmed participants, including the CEOs of many Fortune 500 companies and business leaders, former government officials, heads of the state and economic experts.

Serwer said an April earthquake that struck Sichuan's Lushan County did not affect forum participation, although there were concerns about the condition of people in the quake-hit area.

Provincial Vice Governor Gan Lin and mayor of Chengdu Ge Honglin said preparations for the forum are complete.

The forum, which will be held from June 6 to 8, is being held in China for the fourth time. Three previous forums were held in Shanghai in 1999, Hong Kong in 2001 and Beijing in 2005, respectively.
