BEIJING, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Top political advisor Yu Zhengsheng on Wednesday met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko.
Yu, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), lauded Lukashenko's long-term commitment to the development of bilateral relations, highlighting the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries during the president's ongoing visit.
Yu said the CPPCC National Committee and Belarusian parliament should increase exchanges in order to enhance relations between both sides and create a favorable environment for business cooperation.
Lukashenko said he appreciates the CPPCC National Committee's endorsement of the development of bilateral ties, adding that he looks forward to closer cooperation between the two sides.
