Shi Guangsheng



Shi Guangsheng (1939- ), native of Changli, Hebei Province.

Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation.

Joined CPC, 1965. Graduated from as major of French of Economic Department of Beijing Institute of Foreign Trade, 1965.

Served as deputy division chief and deputy general manager of China National Metals and Minerals Import and Export Corporation, 1974-1986; commissioner of Shanghai Commissioner's Office of Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade, 1986-1988; director of Import and Export Department of Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade, 1988-1991.

Served as assistant minister of Foreign Economic Relations and Trade, 1991-1993; vice minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, 1993-1998.

Appointed minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, March 1998.

Delegate to 15th CPC National Congress.
