Trusts are advanced forms of capitalist monopolies. They combine many enterprises producing the same kind of commodities and those closely related to the marketing of those commodities. In socialist countries, trusts are forms of socialist enterprises. From 1963 to 1964, industrial and transport departments under the Central Government successively established on a trial basis twelve trusts of tobacco, salt, medicine, rubber, aluminium, motor vehicles, textile machinery, geological machinery and instruments, etc.
