Business Beijing to Host Int'l Toy Expo in December

The First Beijing International Toy Exposition will be held at the Military Museum of the Chinese People's Revolution from December 23 to January 3, 2000.

Hundreds of domestic and foreign toy manufacturers will show their products for children of different age groups at more than 500 exhibition booths, organizers announced in Beijing on November 9.

Toys of various kinds will be on display at the show, including traditional, mechanical, and electronic toys.

High-tech toys, remote-controlled toys, and recreational facilities will also be on display, the organizers said.

Seminars on the world toy market and international cultural heritage will also be held during the 11-day exposition.

In addition, participants will discuss preparations for establishing an authoritative world toy manufacturer federation to promote the sales of toys worldwide.

The exposition, organized by the Beijing Municipal Commission for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation, is aimed at promoting China's toy industry. (Xinhua)
