Sports Bayi Makes It Three Wins In A Row At CBA League

Defending champions Bayi Rockets made it three wins in a row by outplaying Jilin Northeast Tigers 129-102 in a third-round match of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Wednesday.

The away victory left Bayi the only side to keep a perfect record since the 1999-2000 domestic league kicked off on November 21.

Shandong Flaming Bulls took full advantage of the home court to tough out a 83-76 win over last season's runners-up Liaoning Hunters in a fiercely-contested match.

In the day's other action, national team player Hu Weidong inspired Jiangsu Dragons to overwhelm Zhejiang Pegasus 113-88 while Shanghai Sharks routed newly-promoted Nanjing Army Bolts 131-104.

Beijing Ducks scored a 113-97 home win over Hubei while Guangdong Tigers defeated Vanguard Aoshen 101-93. (Xinhua)
