Sci-Tech Beijing to Host Int'l Listing Forum for Hi-Tech Firms

An international forum on overseas listing for China's high-tech enterprises will be held in Beijing on December 17 and 18.

Senior officials from the United States' NASDAQ market, the Toronto and Vancouver stock exchanges of Canada, the Securities Exchanges of Hong Kong (SEHK), the Stock Exchanges of Singapore, and the European Association of Securities Dealers Automated Quoting system (EASDAQ) would discuss their listing conditions during the forum.

About 80 Chinese enterprises, including noted firms such as the 999 Group and many Internet-related firms have registered for the forum, organizers say.

The forum is sponsored by the China Science and Technology Forum under the Ministry of Science and Technology and hosted by the ChinaCulture Net.

Organizers say the forum is aimed at helping China's high-tech enterprises understanding the rules of overseas stock exchanges so they can determine the most appropriate exchanges on which to become listed. (Xinhua)
