Tianjin Selected as E-business Pilot City

State Information Office recently has approved Tianjin as the national e-business experimental city.

In light of the national e-business experimental work, the Tianjin e-business department will intensify their efforts to establish platforms for e-business operation and start up the network project that combines finance, taxation, banking and trade. And it will carry out demonstration experimental work in five areas-productive-enterprise-level e-business, marketing-enterprise-level e-business, electronic distribution chain, special product e-business and the establishment of an on-line business center.

Last year, Tianjin Economic Commission planned to establish the "Tianjin Industry Network", and intended to set up the Tianjin Industrial Enterprise E-business Platform, enterprise websites and e-mail boxes which provide on-line market information about 1,000 enterprises, exclusive sales of products of a hundred enterprises, and supermarket of 10 types of products. Up to now, more than 500 enterprises have gone on-line, which have published over 1,000 webpages.

Tianjin will organize the Third International Forum (Tianjin) of China International E-business. Relevant personages at home and from abroad will be invited to discuss matters concerning the e-business development.
