China Punishes Two Corruption Cases

According to the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and Ministry of Supervision, China has dealt with two corruption Cases in Qinghai and Hunan provinces recently.

Certain departments of the CPC committee and government of Hualong county in Qinghai province misappropriated government funds and financial revenue to buy expensive cars from September 1998 to July 1999.

Some audit bureau leaders of Binzhou in Hunan province misappropriated public money to travel abroad in the name of official business.

Senior officials from the CPC Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and Ministry of Supervision said all corrupt officials will be seriously punished.

The senior officials also pointed out that cadres should learn a lesson from these cases. The Party and government will not tolerate any form of corruption, they stressed.
