Shanghai Tie Tianjin at Top With Home Win

Substitute Bian Jun headed in the sole goal to give Shanghai Shenhua a 1-0 home win over arch-rival Beijing Guo'an, as well as a tied leading position with Tianjin Taida in the Chinese first division soccer league on Sunday.

Tianjin led the standings after third rounds on goals difference ahead of Shanghai following a 0-0 draw with Chongqing Longxin at home.

Bian, who came in after the break, connected on Fan Bin's cross from the left wing to score the winning goal in the 70th minute. Beijing had lost all the three games and scored only one goal to open their new season.

Defending champions Shandong Luneng recorded a brilliant comeback win, beating Shenzhen Ping'an 2-1.

Wen Guanghui handed the home team's first goal of the season and a 1-0 lead before Shandong rallied back to take three away points.

In Sunday's other games, Shenyang Haishi had their first win with a 2-0 defeat of Xiamen, while Qingdao Hainiu snapped the two-game winning streak of new comers Yunnan Hongta by a 2-0 victory. Dalian Shide, the former three-time champions Dalian Wanda, were held a goalless draw by last season's runners-up Liaoning, who were seeking for their first win of the season.

The lowly Jilin Aodong collected their first point with a 0-0 home draw with Sichuan Quanxing.
