Internet Important to Economy: Survey

A latest survey by the China Business Climate Monitoring Center shows 85 percent respondents consider the Internet important to the national economy.

The survey published in April 11's "China Securities" was carried out among more than 500 educated Chinese in three major cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. More than half of the respondents use the Internet.

More than 90 percent believe that the development of Internet will lead to fundamental changes in the economy.
