Regulations Drafted for Protecting Chinese Famous Tea

Regulations have been drafted for protecting the production base of Longjing tea (Dragon Well tea), a famous green tea produced in Hangzhou, capital of east China's Zhejiang Province.

The West Lake Longjing tea boasts a history of over 1,000 years and is often called the "Empress of Green tea". The increase fake Longjing tea products has caused all kinds of problems for producing the tea.

According to the regulation, an area covering 168 square kilometers has been designated for Longjing tea plantation.
