CRI Launches Special Program on Zhejiang

Part of coastal China is coming under the spotlight at China Radio International, as the English Service begins broadcasting a weekly program from Zhejiang People's Radio.

"Zhejiang Today", which will go to air on Wednesdays, aims to provide listeners at home and abroad with a better understanding of Zhejiang through CRI's global broadcasting network.

The program will look at the province's economic developments, its people and their lives, as well as its environment and history and culture.

Since 1991, Zhejiang People's Radio has been producing Chinese programs about Zhejiang for stations in Japan, France, Canada and Singapore.

"Zhejiang Today" will be its first English production.
