CPPCC Chairman Meets "Glory Project" Delegates

Li Ruihuan, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), met with some 300 Chinese "Glory Project" delegates at a national meeting.

Li encouraged more private business people to help the government realize its goals to wipe out poverty. He spoke highly of the efforts made over the six years, especially in helping the needy in remote areas.

He urged private entrepreneurs to take every opportunity to contribute more to helping the needy when the country is implementing the strategy of developing the western region.
