HK Takes Part in Beijing International Hi-Tech Week

A Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government delegation, led by Secretary for Trade and Industry Chau Tak Hay, is participating in the China (Beijing) International High-Tech Industries Week 2000, which opened in the Chinese capital on May 8.

Members of the delegation include Secretary for Information Technology and Broadcasting Carrie Yau and Director-General of Industry Francis Ho.

With the hi-tech theme, the China (Beijing) International High- tech Industries Week 2000 is an important international activity for exchanges in this area.

The Hong Kong SAR government hopes to strengthen exchanges on hi-tech industries between Hong Kong and Beijing through participating in the event.
