Culture and Tourism Festival in East China Town
A three-day culture and tourism festival was closed on May 10 at Xitang Town in Jiashan County in east China's Zhejiang Province. A photographic show, a painting exhibition, fireworks and numerous cultural performances were held during the festival. A trade fair on forestry and agricultural products was also held during the festival, with some 23 major industrial projects with a total investment of 35.2 million US dollars signed. Xitang is well known for its well-protected residential houses with ancient architectural styles. More than 600,000 Chinese and overseas tourists visited Xitang in the past two years.
