Tibet Opens Hotline For Information Consultation

Tibet Autonomous Region has opened its first telephone hotline to provide round-the-clock services concerning health care and psychological consultation.

Dialing the number 1601818, local residents and visitors to this plateau region can get help in obtaining information on travel, traffic, recreation and others.

Liu Ping, manager of the Lhasa Baixin Information Consultation Company, said that the hotline has been warmly welcomed by local people, and the company plans to add an automatic voice-based information system soon to meet the increasing demand.
