Both Le, former women's freestyle sprint world record holder, and Liu, women's 100 meters butterfly runner-up in Atlanta, need to meet the Olympic standard and qualify for the Chinese squad. "In such a significant new millennium, to be a three-time Olympian is my dream, " Le said. With a pair of newly-crowned NCAA titles, Liu, who returned from American Nevada University in March, will meet two domestic rivals, Ruan Yi and Pang Ran, on her way to Sydney.
