Chinese Petroleum Company Enters United Arab Emirates

The China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and the Gulf Contract Company from the United Arab Emirates signed a subcontract recently on drain contamination and surface water discharging of the city Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates.

This is the first time that the Chinese petroleum company entered the infrastructure construction market of this country.

This is an important infrastructure project for a new industrial area in the city, on which an agreement, valued at above US$ 8 million was signed only after tough negotiation, said leader of the project.

Main work of the project include laying various pipes and sinking wells in the city, and construction of the whole project is to be finished in the latter part of next year.
