Northern Border City Attracts Investment

China's largest land port city of Manzhouli Friday signed agreements for twenty cooperative projects with investors from both home and abroad here in Beijing.

The total amount of investment in these projects is 180 million U.S. dollars, an official source said.

"We will do our best to provide preferential policies, a sound environment, and good services to investors," said Yang Hanzhong, the mayor of Manzhouli.

Located along China's northern border with both Mongolia and Russia, Manzhouli is now playing an increasingly more important role in trade with Asian and European countries.
