Chinese to Become 2nd Mayor Net Economic Language

A recent online survey shows that most of the netizens in China's mainland, Hong Kang and Taiwan are under the age of 40. Taiwan is the place where male and female netizens are in a relative balance with the proportion standing at about 6:4. In China's mainland and Hong Kong, most of the netizens are male. The survey conductor also believes that Chinese will take the place of Japanese to become the second major net economic language. This will be even more important in the E-business market of Chinese circles.

The survey conducted by Taiwan shows that by the end of last year, the population of the netizens of Taiwan had exceeded4.2 million. The number of netizens of Hong Kong and China's Mainland are 850,000 and 8.9 million respectively.

In terms of sex distribution, among the netizens, males account for 61.7 percent in Taiwan, 85.3 percent in China's mainland, and 76.6 percent in Hong Kong.

In terms of age distribution, most of the netizens are younger than 40 years old in the three regions. In Hong Kong, 85.8 percent of the netizens are under the age of 40. In China's mainland, the rate hits 90.7 percent. In Taiwan, it is 94.3 percent.
