ROK President Leaves For Pyongyang


ROK President Leaves for DPRK
ROK President Kim Dae-jung left for Pyongyang this morning for a historic summit with DPRK leader Kim Jong Il.

Before boarding his aircraft for the flight, President Kim made a speech,in which he expressed hopes an agreement could be reached on some of the problems in the coming months and years.

Accompanied by a delegation of 130 officials and businessmen, as well as 50 South Korean reporters, Kim took off at 9.18 a.m (00.18 GMT) on a 180-km (110 miles) flight.
