Survey: HK Attractive Place for Most Visitors

A survey released here Saturday indicated that ore than 88 percent of the visitors to Hong Kong would stay here a few days longer if time permitted.

Of the 300 foreigners responding to the survey, 91 percent would recommend Hong Kong as a tour destination to their relatives and friends.

The survey, conducted by the Hong Kong Jayceettes Junior Chamber, also indicated that the shopping is the most attractive point in Hong Kong to the visitors, followed by delicious food of various styles.

Clothing ranked the most favorite merchandise, followed by electrical appliance, computers, jewelry and antique.

Betty Chan, who organized the survey, said Hong Kong should draw more tourists by developing more scenic spots, holding international conventions and organizing sports events.
