Vice-Premier Meets Russian Guests

Chinese Vice-Premier Qian Qichen met Wednesday with Dmitry Rogozin, chairman of the International Affairs Committee under the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia. Both sides exchanged views on increasing cooperation in all fields.

Qian said that Sino-Russian relations have continuously developed since the two countries established the strategic cooperative partnership oriented toward the 21st century in 1996.

The growth of Sino-Russian relations is in line with the fundamental interest of both peoples and will contribute immensely to world peace and stability, he added.

The Russian guests are here at the invitation of China's National People's Congress Foreign Affairs Committee.
