Seminar on Sino-European Cultural Exchanges Opens
An academic seminar on Sino- European cultural exchanges jointly sponsored by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Nanjing University opened on June 28 in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province.
Papers submitted to the seminar include basic features of Chinese and European cultures, Chinese cultural environment for European investors and culture's role in Sino-European political and economic relations.
Nearly 100 Chinese and European researchers, officials and enterprise managers attended the seminar, which is one of 1999- 2000 higher education cooperative projects between China and Europe.
Organizers of the seminar said that the seminar will not only promote the study on European Union but also further consolidate Sino-European relations.
