Treasure Edition of "Collection of Chinese Marshals and Generals" Published

On the eve of the 79th anniversary of the Communist Party of China, the treasure edition of "Collection of Chinese Marshals and Generals" (Part I) came off the press. Liu Huaqing, former vice-chairman of China's Central Military Commission, wrote the preface for this work.

In the form of portraits and brief records, this book compiles marshals of the People's Republic of China, senior generals and generals of the People's Liberation Army and generals of the People's Armed Police Force,135 in all, military ranks granted during the years from 1955 to 1999. All of the marshals and generals are the meritorious statesmen of the People's Republic of China under the Party's leadership of three generations with Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping and Jiang Zemin at the core. They are the legendary figures and outstanding representatives in the history of the People's Liberation Army of China. The book realistically displays their remarkable military practice and political achievements and provides people with detailed and accurate materials to study the Chinese military personages.
