Turkey Gives Visa-Free Access to Macao SAR Passport Holders

Beginning on Wednesday Turkey grants visa-free access to holders of the passport of China's Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), according to sources with the Identification Services of the Macao SAR government.

Following Singapore, the Republic of Korea and the Philippines, Turkey is the fourth country to give visa-free access to Macao SAR passport holders since the founding of the SAR last December.

Holders of the Macao SAR passport can stay in Turkey for up to 20 days each time.

The Macao SAR government gave visa-free treatment to Turkish passport holders on May 2 this year and they can stay in Macao for up to 20 days.

So far, a total of 41 countries have recognized the passport of the Macao SAR.
