Cross-Strait Economic, Trade and Cultural Week to Be Held in September

It's learned from a news briefing held in Haikou on July 5 that the 2000 Cross-Strait Economic, Trading and Cultural Week is scheduled to be held from September 16 to 21 in Haikou, capital of Hainan Province.

The week, focused on investment and trade talks between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits, will include such contents as invitation of investment, commodity trade, transaction of high-tech achievement, the transaction of tourism items, and product recommendation.

It's reported that by then, over 150 enterprises from Taiwan and over 400 from the mainland will take part in exhibitions, more than 2,000 persons will attend symposiums or business talks and as many as 50,000 persons will participate in various activities.
