Xinjiang Set Lots of Shoddy Fake Medicine on Fire

Over ten million yuan worth of shoddy fake medicine were set on fire in many a varied places of Xinjiang lately.

Of the ten million yuan worth of shoddy fake medicine destroyed, Urumqi alone took a worth of 3.12 million yuan having been burnt into ashes under the supervision of medical, business and public security departments in Xinjiang.

The activity is aimed at raising people's law awareness and strengthening management and supervision over medicine in accordance with law, and crack down on crimes in producing and selling shoddy fake medicine. It also serves to guarantee people's medicine taking security and create a good social environment to boost China's west development, as is known from local officials at a conference commemorating the 15th anniversary of the publication of "Medicine Management Law".
