MATV to Provide Programs in Asia-Pacific Area

The Macao Satellite Asia TV (MATV) will be launched officially at the end of the year to provide quality and diverse TV programs in the Asia-Pacific area.

MATV is an international satellite broadcast institution approved by the government of Macao. Its administrative headquarters and broadcast control center are located in Macao, while relevant production studios and a network center are in Beijing.

Provided by television production companies in China's inland areas, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and southeast Asian countries, the TV programs will cover drama series, amusement shows, news, sports, travel, movies, financial information, education and children's programs.

Through the Asia-Pacific satellite APSTAR-1A, MATV will offer high-quality digital TV signals to the Asia-Pacific region where more than three billion people live.
