China, Czech Republic Sign Protocol on Cultural Cooperation

China and the Czech Republic Monday singed a protocol of cultural cooperation for 2000-2002, which aims to enhance cultural exchanges between the two countries.

The protocol was signed in Prague during the visit by Chinese Vice Minister of Culture Li Yuanchao.

According to the protocol, China and the Czech Republic will make further efforts to exchange cultural missions and artists and hold cultural activities including cultural exhibitions.

Czech Minister of Culture Pavel Dostal, who met Li and his delegation after the ceremony, said the two countries have a long history of culture and there exits traditional cooperation between them.

The Chinese cultural delegation arrived in Prague Sunday on a five-day visit to the Czech Republic.
