HKMA Launches "Money in Hong Kong" Exhibition

"Money in Hong Kong" exhibition sponsored by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) was opened on Saturday.

Joseph Yam, chief executive of the HKMA, and other senior HKMA executives attended the opening ceremony.

The aim of the exhibition is to foster communication between the HKMA and the general public and to promote public awareness of Hong Kong's monetary and banking systems.

The HKMA exhibition will be held at three different locations, running from 11:00 am to 8:00 p.m. daily until mid-August.

At the launch of the exhibition Saturday, Yam also unveiled the new HKMA website.

The new website expands the ability of the HKMA to keep the general public abreast of the development of the local monetary system, allowing the world to keep track of the policies and work of the HKMA.

The new HKMA website features the simple address, streamlined structure, more efficient navigation, enhanced content usability, news update e-mail service, and resource center online library catalogue.
