Vice-President Back Home after Five-Nation Tour

Vice-President Hu Jintao returned Beijing Sunday afternoon after visiting Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.

Greeting Hu and his party at the Great Hall of the People were Vice-Premier Qian Qichen, Deputy Director of the General Office of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Jiang Yikang, Vice Foreign Minister Yang Wenchang, and diplomatic envoys from the above-mentioned five countries to China.

Hu's entourage also returned aboard the same plane. Among them were his wife Liu Yongqing, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Guangya, Deputy Director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee Ling Jihua, and other senior officials.
