China's New Regional Aircraft Sells Well
Sichuan Airlines based in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan province, has recently put MA60, China's brand-new regional aircraft into use.
According to the "China Shipping Weekly", the Xi'an Aircraft Industry Corporation, the plane's producer, has received orders for 10 MA60s from several domestic airlines including Sichuan Airlines.
"MA60" has 56 to 60 seats for short-and-medium-distance flights.
The Xi'an Aircraft Industry Corporation will invest 30 million yuan (US$3.6 milliom) in building a simulated aircraft to train pilots as well as establish spare-part and equipment centers around China.
