Palestinian President Arafat to visit China
Palestinian President Yasser Arafat will pay a working visit to China on August 14 at the invitation of Chinese President Jiang Zemin, Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhu Bangzao announced in Beijing Saturday.
In addition, Israeli Minister of Regional Cooperation Shimon Peres will visit China from August 16 to 17 at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan, Zhu said, adding that they are coming to China for the special purpose of briefing the Chinese side on the latest development of the Middle East peace process.
