Mongolian President Stresses Ties With China

Mongolian President Nachagyn Bagabandy said Tuesday that he believes relations between Mongolia and China will develop further in the new century.

Bagabandy made the statement during a meeting with Ye Xuanping, visiting Vice-Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

He said relations between both countries have developed since the signing of the Sino-Mongolian friendly and cooperation treaty in 1994, and the heads of both countries have visited each other's country successfully over the last two years.

He also expressed his thanks for China's aid to Mongolia.

For his part, Ye said China attaches great importance to its ties with Mongolia, and China and Mongolia should always be good neighbors, friends and partners.

Ye is on a four-day visit to Mongolia starting on August 15.
