New Securities Investment Fund Listed on Shanghai Bourse

The Handing Securities Investment Fund was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange Thursday, bringing the number of such funds listed on the Shanghai and Shenzhen bourses to 30.

The Handing fund is a closed-end fund launched by the Shenyin Wanguo Securities Co. in Shanghai and is managed by the Beijing-based Fullgoal Fund Management. It is under the custody of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.

The fund has a total of 200 million units and will be expanded to 500 million units after the listing. It will be valid until the year 2003.

By August 16, the fund has a net asset of 1.03 yuan for each unit.

The Handing fund will invest the bulk of its assets into information technology stocks, its manager said.
