China Donates Relief Goods to Afghan Refugees

China has donated relief supplies worth 2 million RMB yuan (241,000 U.S. dollars) to Afghan refugees.

Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Lu Shulin and Chief of the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Afghan Mission in Pakistan signed a certificate for handing over the goods at a ceremony Tuesday.

The relief goods include medicines, tents, blankets and cloth and they have been transported to Peshawar, a Pakistan city bordering Afghanistan and checked and received by the UNHCR office there, according to the certificate.
