China Builds Large Software Industrial Park

A large export-oriented software industrial park has been established in Ningbo, a major port city in east China's Zhejiang Province.

The Tuopu International Software Park, located in the Ningbo Bonded Zone, is co-funded by the zone and the Tuopu Group, one of China's leading software manufacturers.

According to a development plan, 10 to 15 large software enterprises will be established in the next five years.

Overseas software producers and Chinese students studying abroad are encouraged to start businesses in the park, according to local sources.

Ningbo Mayor Zhang Weiwen said at the inauguration ceremony that besides being a production base, the park will also become a center for training software professionals and demonstrating software products.

A series of preferential policies, including tax breaks and easy loans, have already been put into effect to attract investors to the park.
