Venezuela Attaches Importance to Developing Ties with China
Venezuelan Vice President Isaias Rodriguez said in Caracas Tuesday that his country attached great importance to developing friendly relations with China in the fields of politics, economy, science and technology, and culture.
Rodriguez made the remarks while meeting with Li Tieying, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and president of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, who is heading a CPC delegation for a brief visit here.
Lauding the great achievements China has scored in its economic development, Rodriguez said China has played an important role in maintaining international justice.
At the meeting, Li said that friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries have been developing smoothly since they established diplomatic ties in 1974.
Li arrived here Tuesday after visiting Colombia.
