China Selects Ten Most Outstanding Teachers

China's Ministry of Education Friday announced the list of the ten most outstanding young and middle-aged teachers who work in primary or middle schools.

The awards winners are Yang Ruiqing of Xingzhi Primary School in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province; Sun Xiaoqing of Qingnianlu Primary School in Taiyuan, Shanxi Province; Wang Shengchun of No. 31 Middle School in Shenyang, Liaoning Province; Mao Guifen of Jingshan School in Beijing; Zeng Haiping of No. 1 Middle School in Shaoyang, Hunan Province; An Zhenping of Yongshou Middle School in Yongshou County, Shaanxi Province; Ma Feng of No. 2 Middle School in Bengbu, Anhui Province; Shi Zhenrong of Wangjiazhuang Primary School in Longxi County, Gansu Province; Yan Sufen of Linchuan Middle School in Linchuan, Jiangxi Province; and Sang Guoyou of Liyuangou Primary School in Yuzhou City, Henan Province.

The biannual awards started in 1994, honoring nationwide young and middle-aged teachers who made great achievements in their career.

China is celebrating the 16th Teachers' Day, which falls Sunday.
