Collection of Jiang Zemin's UN Millennium Summit Remarks Published
A collection of President Jiang Zemin's recent speeches, including his address at the UN Millennium Summit, went on sale Thursday in bookstores all over China.
The book is published by the People's Publishing House and distributed through the network of Xinhua Bookstore countrywide.
In addition to Jiang's summit address, which was delivered on September 7, the book contains other remarks made during his stay in the United States early this month, including speeches at panel discussions of the summit and the September 8 speech at a luncheon held by US groups friendly to China.
It also includes an interview of Jiang done by Mike Wallace, the 82-year-old anchor of the "60 Minutes" news program of the Columbia Broadcasting System (CBS). The meeting took place August 15 at the seaside resort of Beidaihe, about 300 kilometers east of Beijing.
