Eight Dead in Collision of Swiss Helicopters

Two helicopters taking Indian tourists on a sightseeing trip to the Alpine glaciers collided Tuesday, killing eight people and seriously injuring four others, police said. As 60 other Indian tourists watched from a soccer field below, the rotors of the two helicopters struck each other during their landing approach, some 50 feet above the ground,a witness told Swiss radio. The identities of the victims were not immediately disclosed. The accident was the worst helicopter disaster in Swiss history.
