Chinese Village Heads Back Beijing's 2008 Olympic Bid

Sources from Chongqing say that over one hundred village heads in various parts of China have signed their names on a long red cloth scroll in expressing their ardent desire to back up Beijing's bid for hosting 2008 Olympics. The long red scroll will be sent on their behalf by Beijing Farmers Daily to Beijing 2008 Olympic Bid Committee.

An ethnic minority village head in western China said, "The strength of the nine hundred million Chinese farmers backing up Beijing's 2008 Olympic bid is immeasurable. We all hope Beijing's 2008 Olympic bid be wholly successful."
