China's WTO Deal in Matter of Days: Chirac

French President Jacques Chirac announced Friday in Seoul that a deal on China's entry to the World Trade Organization could be finished within a matter of days.

Telling reporters at the third Asia--Europe Meeting, Chirac, who holds the rotating European Union presidency, said problems hindering China's admission to WTO have been settled, adding China's entry is a "resolved problem."

He said China's WTO membership means China will open its market, in which the whole world has an interest.

He said Mexico is one of the two countries with problems concerning WTO entry left unresolved. But he did not name the other one.
