China Ready for Arch-rival Japan

China will meet his arch-rival Japan in the semi-finals at 00:45 October 27 after Japanese team beat Iraq 4-1 in the quarter-final held at the Beirut Sport Center October 24.

Chinese veteran Fan Zhiyi said that China wasn't afraid of Japan team.

The Asian Cup, now still being held in Beirut, Lebanon, has drawn 12 state teams all around Asia.

Ma Kejian, adviser of Chinese Football Association, thinks that as long as the tactics are OK, the Chinese players are very likely to defeat Japan.

In another match between Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, Saudi Arabia won Kuwait 3-2 to reach the semi-finals by competing with S. Korea at 21:45 on October 26. [Source: chinadaily.com.cn]
