China's First Government Procurement Network to Open

Construction of China's first government procurement network will be completed soon in this capital of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The network's internal Intranet management system has been built and is expected to go into operation at the end of this year.

With large-screen monitors and the computer control system, the network will provide information on supply and demand, advertisements, and market trends.

The network will also have a variety of databases including one for information on procurement items, another for intermediate service providers, another for government policies, laws and regulations, and still another on suppliers.

Via the Internet, the network will classify and feed back government procurement information of the whole country, to enable users to share information resources.

The network will be built into China's first BTOG (business to government) e-commerce platform for government procurement nationwide.
