Kim Dae-Jung to Visit Indonesia

South Korean President Kim Dae-Jung is scheduled to visit Indonesia from November 27 to 29 as part of the effort to improve ties between the two countries, according to a press statement issued by the Indonesian Foreign Affairs Ministry.

During the visit, Kim Dae-Jung and Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid will witness the signing of a cultural cooperation agreement and a treaty on extradition agreement, the press statement said.

Apart from discussing various aspects in trying to improve ties, Wahid and his guest will also discuss regional and international issues.

Kim Dae-Jung is also scheduled to meet with Vice President Megawati Soekarnoputri.

The South Korean leader will also lead the South Korean businessmen to meet with their Indonesian counterparts which is organized by the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the press statement was quoted by the Indonesian Observer Friday as saying.

Wahid visited South Korea last month when he attended the Asian European Meeting in Seoul.
