Computer Information Security System Takes Shape in China
Computer information security system has basically taken shape in China. There are over 230 companies manufacturing products related to computer-safety with 335 kinds of products being licensed as ones special for computer safety, and some of them are almost matching the international level of the same type of products.
Internet has sneaked into every corner of people's work and study, and is now profoundly changing the life of the people. However, it also triggered off Internet safety problem, such as online loss of secrecy and stealing, spread of harmful information, increasing attacks by hackers to the Internet. Some departments do not have enough awareness and knowledge about computer safety problems and the potential risks. The measures taken for self-protection and prevention remain not quite effectual and we also see lagged behind in the research, development and application on the IT and related products for the protection of Internet safety. The precaution and prevention ability is on the whole lower than expected.
In recent years, China has strengthened computer management, drafting and enforcement of some Internet-related laws. Research, development and application on Internet safety technology and products have been enhanced. Some centers have been set up for anti-virus products checking, and products quality control for information safety have been put up too. China has so far witnessed fast development in its information network safety technology. Many key products in this respect have already been made at home, such as computer virus prevention and firewall, safety network management, pre-check and alert to hackers' attack, network safety loophole scan, homepage automatic protection, harmful information sifting and visit control as well as some other key products.
