Beijing Sees Lasting Increase in Foreign Trade

Export and import volume in Beijing have increased over the first three quarters of this year, according to the latest official statistics.

The export and import volume in the period reached US$3.41 billion and US$5 billion respectively, up 55.4 percent and 36.8 percent than the same period last year.

The statistics showed that Asia, Europe and north America are the top three trade partners with Beijing.

Among all the world countries, Finland is Beijing's top trade partner, mainly through the communications products by the Finland-based Nokia company.

The total export and import volume of Beijing's overseas-funded enterprises in the first three quarters of this year was US$5.6 billion , while the state-owned enterprises was US$2.8 billion, the figure showed.

During the period, Beijing's overseas-funded enterprises exported US$2.06 billion worth of products, 1.1 times more than the same period last year.
